Undercover Brits: 'Wednesday' Edition
The Addams Family is an American enterprise, originating as a New Yorker cartoon drawn by Charles Addams in the early part of the 20th century. But upon reflection, the spooky family and their eldest daughter, Wednesday, share a distinct and gloomy aesthetic that is uniquely British. That's become abundantly clear with the Netflix series Wednesday, which stars Jenna Ortega as the titular child of woe.
There were multiple Brits in the first season of the Netflix drama, but with the production moving from Romania to Dublin for the sophomore effort, even more Brits came on board for the newest outing. Telly Visions put on our British detective gear and have sussed out all of the Brits hanging out with Wednesday Addams at Nevermore Academy this season. There are some British legends as well as some truly sneaky Brits wandering the halls of Wednesday's private school. We even found a couple of bonus entries for this truly impressive list.
Catherine Zeta-Jones steps up her role as Wednesday's mother in the second season. While we had to say goodbye to Gwendoline Christie after Season 1, Zeta-Jones is joined by a few legends for Season 2, like Joanna Lumley and Billie Piper. These three are enough to give Wednesday bona fide Anglophile cred, but there are even more Brits that made the cast list for Season 2. Here are the British and British-adjacent members of the Wednesday cast causing havoc in the new season.
