Everything British for PBS Viewers to Stream in February 2024
For those of you who have not looked at the February calendar for 2024 yet, let me be the first to remind you that this is a leap year. Not that one extra day in February does much for television programming other than give those who need to schedule it a headache. With February being the shortest month, historically, it is one of the lightest when it comes to new releases, especially in the last decade, ever since Downton Abbey made Sundays in January the big debut nights for PBS British shows.
For PBS, Sunday nights are already full, with Miss Scarlet & the Duke and Funny Woman running through the middle of the month and All Creatures Great & Small running a week longer with the Christmas special tacked on as a finale. All three series dropped their full seasons on PBS passport streaming for members when the seasons began back at the beginning of January, but for those who do not subscribe (or who get their PBS through Amazon's Masterpiece Channel), the episode rollout will continue weekly through February.
With February being a short month and pledge drives kicking into gear for many local stations nationwide, most major premieres on PBS won't arrive until March. That means nearly everything British will be PBS Passport-centric, with lots of Walter Presents arrivals. What shows do land on PBS Passport from the BBC will hold their linear premieres until next month, so prepare to check your local listings carefully. Here's everything British coming to streaming for PBS for February.
