'Frauds' Adds 9 to Cast, Including PBS Favorites

ITV first announced it was greenlighting Frauds for the upcoming 2025/2026 television season back in January. The six-part miniseries hails from TeamAkers, Suranne Jones' production company, whose inaugural series, MaryLand, aired on PBS stations in 2024. Like the company's first series, Jones headlines the project alongside another A-list co-star, in case Jodie Whittaker (Doctor Who). The two were announced as confirmed for the series with the commission, with further details promised to come. Now, with a cast of nine added to the roster and details about who they play, the series is coming into better focus.

Jones and Whittaker play a pair called a "complex duo," Bert and Sam. The two (who it seemed to suggest were a couple) ran cons for a living until they were caught. One went to jail, the other did not. Now that both are free again, they've reconnected in Southern Spain after ten years apart.

The group of characters surrounding them also sounds like a good time, starting with Talisa García (Baptiste) as Miss Take, who hosts drag bingo at the club on the Costa del Sol; Karan Gill (COBRA) as Bilal, the world’s greatest forger; and Elizabeth Berrington (Sanditon) as Jackie Diamond, magician’s assistant/wife of The Great Diavolo who is the brains behind the act. How these guys fit into the heist, which Sam and Bert wind up in the middle of, remains to be seen, but it sounds like a lot of fun.
