'The Marlow Murder Club' Investigates What People Value in “A Murder on the Close”

There's no rest for the wicked or the inquisitive on The Marlow Murder Club. Our favorite amateur detectives have already solved the murder of Sir Peter Bailey (James Wilby) this season, but there's another dead body in Marlow, so they are back on the case. Our new mystery is a brutal one. A loan officer was found stabbed and walletless in the middle of a suburban cul-de-sac.

Only two families remain on the close as developer Nina Sosanya's (Love Actually) Grace Wellingborough is working to turn the estate into a carbon-neutral development. The Butlers and the Wingroves are the last two hold-outs to Grace's plan, and their delay in letting her develop their plots may have evolved into a motive for murder.

Judith (Samantha Bond), Becks (Cara Horgan), and Suzie (Jo Martin) are already making breaks in the case, but they also have some personal mysteries of their own. Judith is looking into her deceased great aunt's love life after the trio discovers a photo of the matriarch with a mysterious man Judith does not remember her Aunt Jess ever mentioning. Meanwhile, Becks is acting very suspiciously about her new art class, and more importantly, her very attractive art teacher, Daniel (Steve Chusak).
