Netflix Releases First 'Bridgerton' Season 3 Images of Pen's New Outfit
The success of Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story has been a highlight of the romance franchise, proving that there are plenty of stories in the tank to be told about the various members of the ton in the Bridgerton universe. However, the series' main trunk is the various members of the Bridgerton clan and their romantic lives. The series has already had two smash-hit seasons based on the first two books in the Julia Quinn series. However, with Season 3, the show is changing up the order of the various romances, skipping over Benedict and his future wife to the next sibling down, Colin, and the obvious love of his life, Penelope.
Season 1 of the series was a Christmas time release, despite the series being set during the London season (and the wrong time of year at that). Season 2 went for the Emmy consideration time frame, releasing all episodes in mid-March, just ahead of all the other spring contenders. However, the addition of the Queen Charlotte stand-alone (which arrived May 4, a perfect counterprogramming move to Star Wars Day) was always going to mean that Bridgerton Season 3 would not arrive until at least the second half of 2023.
Golda Rosheuvel, the actor who plays Queen Charlotte, did not announce a second season at the Tudum event over the Juneteenth weekend, merely the return of the Queen's Ball Experience. But Brigderton Season 3 was kind enough to bring a first look at the next season and Penelope's new yellow-free look.
