An Explosive Conspiracy Takes Center Stage In the Trailer for 'Slow Horses' Season 2

Even though the first season of the Apple TV+ series Slow Horses just premiered on the streamer back in April of 2022, its second will be hitting our screens before the holidays and promising to go even more significant than ever before, featuring more personal threats within MI-5 and potentially more disastrous consequences. (Or, as a voiceover in the new Season 2 trailer puts it, "more people are going to die.")

A darkly comedic espionage drama, Slow Horses is based on Mick Herron's bestselling series of novels. It follows a dysfunctional team of British intelligence agents who've all been reassigned to serve in a dumping-ground department of MI5 known as Slough House. (Depending on your perspective, they're referred to as the "Slow Horses," sort of affectionately or very derogatorily.) Though the series didn't get a lot of press, the critical reviews for Season 1 were high, as were the audience ratings, making it a sleeper critical darling with potential to build.

While Gary Oldman's head of Slough House, Jackson Lamb, would undoubtedly prefer to keep his team on a variety of tedious desk jobs for the duration of their time in the service, trouble seems determined to find them no matter what.
