'Slow Horses' Renewed for Season 5

Apple TV+ will continue bringing spy fans the adventures of the incompetents in Slough House with a Season 5 renewal of Slow Horses, the streaming service’s first significant renewal of 2024. The series, an adaptation of Mick Herron’s novels of the same name, is the leading British hit for Apple TV+, becoming one of the streaming service’s most recognizable shows since premiering in the spring of 2022. The series was renewed for Season 2 before Season 1 premiered and debuted six months later.

Since the double renewal of Seasons 3 and 4, the series has taken off, with Seasons 2 and 3 bringing in a raft of guest stars, including Samuel West, Sophie Okonedo, Freddie Fox, Sope Dirisu, Katherine Waterston, and Nick Blood, among others. Season 4 finished filming in early 2023, but according to series showrunner Will Smith, the show is now an end-of-the-year arrival, telling Decider after the Season 3 finale that Season 4 will be released in 2024 but “it won’t be later than this time next year,” meaning the new season would arrive in the last quarter of the year.

But when Season 4 arrives, it won’t be the show’s last, with Season 5 now a go as well. Though Apple TV+ did not confirm a release date, it seems likely it would debut in November/December 2025.
