'Supacell' Powers Up Cast for Season 2
'Supacell' Season 2 is expanding ever outward, adding four new faces to the cast.
It's been nearly two years since Supacell was renewed for Season 2 at the end of the summer of 2024, but the first new cast for the returning series is finally here. Most viewers might cynically assume the extended wait between seasons is just another byproduct of the streaming landscape; however, in this case, that's not true. The production was initially intended to get off the ground in early 2025, but behind-the-scenes delays piled up, and cameras only finally started rolling in late October 2025.
Despite the long wait, the series, created and written by Andrew Onwubolu MBE, better known as Rapman, is still one of the more highly anticipated returns for the streaming service. A sleeper hit in mid-2024, the Black British superhero series landed a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes upon its debut and became one of the most-watched shows of the year on Netflix in the U.K.
At the time of the Season 2 renewal, Rapman stated that he had a three-season arc in mind. Hopefully, despite the long delay in returning to production, Season 2 will once again capture viewers' imaginations (and eyeballs) and Season 3 will follow and maybe even arrive in less than three years.

There's no official synopsis for Supacell Season 2, so here's Rapman's description:
Supacell Season 1 is my Batman Begins. It’s a prequel to what they’ll be like. Season 2 is when you really see what they become. That future you saw at the end of the pilot in London, that exact future doesn’t exist anymore. They’ve changed everything.

The main cast from Season 1 are confirmed to return: Tosin Cole (Doctor Who) as Michael Lasaki, Calvin Demba (The Rig) as Rodney, Josh Tedeku (Boarders) as Tayo, Nadine Mills (Sliced) as Sabrina Clarke, and Eric Kofi-Abrefa (BMF) as Andre Simpson. Also expected to return for Season 2: Giacomo Mancini (Top Boy) as Spud, and Adelayo Adedayo (The Responder) is also expected to return as Dionne Ofori, Michael's fiancée.
Season 2 will introduce four new faces to the streets of London: Frank Bourke (Toxic Town) as Peter, Richard Keep (We Were The Lucky Ones) as Mark, Tiana Simone (Stranger Things: The First Shadow) as Nia, and Ed Allenby (A Killer Next Door) as Brian.
Rapman once again penned all episodes and will split helming duties with Koby Adom (Noughts + Crosses). He also serves as an executive producer alongside Anna Ferguson and Steve Searle for Netflix, and Mouktar Mohammed and Henrietta Lee for New Wave.
Supacell Season 2 is currently filming in the U.K. It is not expected to debut until at least late 2026, but more likely to arrive in 2027.
