'Boarders' Season 3 Final Term Trailer Brings A-Levels & Anxiety
It's the end of the world as the Boarders know it, but they feel fine.
Fans of Boarders have known since the third season was confirmed that it would focus on the students' senior year, and therefore conclude the series. But, much like Netflix's sleeper hit Sex Education, the final season isn't going out with a whimper. For the series leads – Josh Tedeku (Supacell) as Jaheim, Jodie Campbell (Bulletproof) as Leah, Sekou Diaby (What It Feels Like For A Girl) as Toby, Myles Kamwendo (The School for Good & Evil) as Omar, and Aruna Jalloh (RSC: Much Ado) as Femi – this is a do or die moment, and the series takes that seriously.
As five inner-city London teens, plucked from their homes to attend the extremely tony St. Gilberts, being given a crack at their A-Levels (senior exams) was never a given in the first place. Now that it's here, all five of them are confronted with a gauntlet of high-pressure tests that could open the doors to lives they'd never dared imagine getting to experience.
What started as a stunt by the school to cover up a racist scandal had changed not only the lives of the show's core group but also all of those who have come into contact with them. Now, as the final year of boarding school kicks in, it isn't just their academic lives at stake, but their first serious relationships as well.
Here's the synopsis for the series' final season:
Boarders follows five talented black inner-city teens transported to an alien world – an elite British boarding school – after gaining scholarships to the prestigious St. Gilbert’s. Now they’ve made it to the final term, exams are looming and the pressure is on. They’ve set their sights on big futures - but new dramas are erupting everywhere. A shocking school rivalry brings violence, love triangles and shattered friendships. Can the scholarship kids conquer the madness to come out on top?
