'We Are Lady Parts' Releases Season 1 & 2 Original Songs

One of the best parts of We Are Lady Parts is the punky covers of pop hits from the last few decades, and the original songs written for the show by series creator Nida Manzoor, alongside her siblings Shez Manzoor, Sanya Manzoor, and Benni Fregin. (Shez Manzoor also scored the show, making this a real family affair.) However, up until now, the music has only been available if you have watched the series or watched YouTube clips.

Thankfully, as part of the marketing blitz for Season 2, Peacock has made the correct call to make the music available outside the show, with all the songs from Seasons 1 and 2 now streaming on Spotify. It also made the (also very correct) call to take one of the best songs from We Are Lady Parts Season 2, "Malala Made Me Do It," and put that video in full on YouTube so that everyone can enjoy one of the show's best cameos of the year.

There are still some absolutely great other cameos as well, including my personal favorite, Meera Syal from Mrs. Sidhu Investigates (who is also the wife of Unforgotten's Sanjeev Bhaskar). But putting Malala Yousafzai on a horse, straight Beyonce style... now that's something no one should miss. Hopefully, the video will convince more viewers to check out the series, as will the music now available on streaming services like Spotify.
