Everything British for PBS Viewers to Stream in March 2025

PBS has been off cycle from the commercial TV world ever since it discovered it could have the entirety of January to itself. However, spring is still a significant part of the schedule, especially when Masterpiece has a series it genuinely believes can compete in the yearly Primetime Emmy push.

It's been almost a decade since PBS thought it might have an Emmy competitor. To be fair, it's been almost that long since any of the broadcast networks have been competitive, as the rise of prestige TV first put cable, and then streaming at the top of the food chain. Since 2017, NBC has been the only broadcast network to land even a nomination in the coveted Best Drama category; the last time a broadcast network actually won it was in 2007.

But the return of Wolf Hall a decade on isn't your regular run-of-the-mill TV. Between the utterly rapturous reviews from the U.K. and the Academy-and-BAFTA Award winning cast, there's a sense that public broadcasting might have a real shot with this series, making it THE show arriving in March to watch even if you cannot imagine sitting through yet another retelling of King Henry VIII and his personal divorce court.
