Prime Video Sets October Return for Twisty Thriller 'The Devil's Hour'
It's been almost two years since Prime Video's The Devil's Hour first arrived on our screens, a wildly original and often confusing tale of time, perception, reality, and truth that raised as many questions as it answered. It was renewed almost immediately for a second and third season, leaving audiences to wonder what stories it planned to tell. Finally, it appears as though we're about to find out: The Devil's Hour Season 2 is officially set to premiere this October, and your guess is as good as ours when it comes to what twists its story has waiting for us.
The series stars Jessica Raine (Baptiste) as Lucy Chambers, a social worker who wakes up every night at 3:33 am — the titular Devil's Hour — reeling from horrific nightmares about a life that isn't hers. Peter Capaldi (Criminal Record) is the mysterious Gideon Shepherd, a criminal with the eerie ability to "remember" the future. He uses it to manipulate reality and save people he believes died too soon. The pair's lives collide when Lucy's name is associated with a string of savage murders, and what follows is a twisty, time-bending story that spans multiple lives and different realities.
The series also stars Phil Dunster (Ted Lasso) as Lucy's estranged husband, Mike Stephens; Nikesh Patel (Starstruck) as police detective Ravi Dhillon, who has a past-life connection to Lucy; and Meera Syal (Mrs. Sidhu Investigates) as child psychologist Dr. Ruby Bennett, who has been assigned to work with Lucy's son Isaac.
