5 Shows You Didn’t Realize Are On PBS Passport
Sometimes the sheer volume of streaming content arriving on a daily basis can feel overwhelming. But we're here to help you catch up on the releases you might have missed.
One of the biggest hurdles facing every streamer right now is making sure audiences know what programming they can watch. This is a harder task than you might initially realize, considering that what feels like roughly a million new programs and re-upped favorites are added to every single streamer on a weekly (if not daily) basis. You can’t blame viewers for not watching something when it’s decent odds they aren’t even sure it exists.
The PBS Passport service has been a game-changer for public media, with its early releases, exclusive series, and a library of classic favorites. But some offerings still slip through the cracks. Shows go live with little to no fanfare (and sometimes no announcement), as understaffed local stations don’t have the time or manpower to promote them. We’re here to try to fix that and hopefully surface some programs you may not have realized were even available.
Here are a handful of shows that have arrived in the last year or so and are available with PBS Passport that you may not have known you could check out.
