Juno Temple just gained a whole lot of spouses in her latest series coming to Apple TV. The series, titled The Husbands, is based on the debut novel of the same name by British author Holly Gramazio. Technically, the novel is a romcom, though one about finding yourself rather than your one true love. Temple stars as the novel's heroine, a single woman named Lauren who wakes up one morning to discover she has a husband, a man she does not know or remember marrying.

However, it seems that it's not just that she doesn't remember marrying the man who claims to be her spouse. She doesn't recognize any of the men who suddenly start coming down the stairs, each of whom in turn declares himself to be the love of her life. When she finally goes up to the attic to figure out where these men are all coming from, Lauren discovers her house is literally generating men at an alarming rate. It's an infinite supply of husbands, and if she doesn't like whoever just walked into the kitchen, she can just send him back up to exchange for another one.

The rotating cast of husbands provided by the attic will include Joe Alwyn (Hamlet), Fehinti Balogun (Down Cemetery Road), Richard Gadd (Half Man), Kingsley Ben-Adir (Peaky Blinders), Daniel Ings (The Gentlemen), plus American actor Joel Kinnaman (For All Mankind), and Australian actor Bob Morley (The Family Next Door).

Here's the show's synopsis:

When Lauren returns home to her flat in London late one night, she is greeted at the door by her husband, Michael. There’s only one problem — she’s never seen this man before in her life. As Lauren tries to puzzle out how she could be married to someone she can’t remember meeting, Michael goes to the attic to change a lightbulb and abruptly disappears. In his place, a new husband emerges. Realizing that her attic is creating an infinite supply of husbands, Lauren confronts the question: If swapping lives is as easy as changing a lightbulb, how do you know you’ve taken the right path? When do you stop trying to do better and start actually living?
