'Boarders' Celebrates Final Season with Over a Dozen First Images
Like all high school-set series, graduation eventually arrives; 'Boarders' Season 3 celebrates the senior year with 17 first-look images.
Boarders is quite possibly the best teen comedy on TV currently, a solid heir to the legacy of Netflix's sleeper hit Sex Education. The series stars Josh Tedeku (Supacell) as Jaheim, Jodie Campbell (Bulletproof) as Leah, Sekou Diaby (What It Feels Like For A Girl) as Toby, Myles Kamwendo (The School for Good & Evil) as Omar, and Aruna Jalloh (RSC: Much Ado) as Femi, five inner-city London teens plucked from their homes to attend the extremely tony St. Gilberts. What started as a stunt by the school to cover up a racist scandal became a standoff between the students and the headmaster as everyone was forced to question their assumptions.
The series was an original pitch by writer, creator, and executive producer Daniel Lawrence Taylor, and was greenlit through the BBC's push to diversify British storytelling. That it wound up being one of the best shows of the last five years is just another reminder why these programs are so important. Taylor, who also stars in the series as mentor Gus, said as part of the press release:
“I can’t wait for audiences to dive into our third and final season of Boarders. This final chapter delivers all the fun, funnies, and messiness that fans have come to adore. I’m incredibly grateful for the love and support the show has received - it’s truly been a labour of love. Here's to one last ride!”
