Brett Goldstein's Romantic Drama 'All of You' Snags September Release Date
Actor Brett Goldstein's performance as the gruff, surprisingly romantic Roy Kent is one of the best things about Apple TV+'s award-winning comedy Ted Lasso. And while he's set to return to our screens as Roy Kent sometime in the not-too-distant future, Goldstein is keeping himself more than busy with a variety of other projects, including a comedy tour-turned-HBO-special (Brett Goldstein: The Second Best Night of Your Life), a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (Hercules in Thor: Love & Thunder), and a key creative stake (and guest spot) on the Apple TV+ comedy Shrinking. Now he'll be in movie theaters this Fall with All of You, an Apple TV+ feature film that's getting the split multiplex/streamer treatment, but looks compelling enough to do well in both.
Goldstein stars alongside Imogen Poots (Outer Range) as a pair of best friends since college who drift apart when she takes a test purporting to find her soulmate (and doesn't acknowledge the unspoken feelings that have been simmering between them for years). As the pair's lives repeatedly cross and separate, leading them both to wonder if they've somehow missed out on a (better) life together than the ones they're leading, which have included everything from marriage and children to tragedy and heartbreak.
A humorous and heartwrenching story that has more than a whiff of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind about it, All of You is being touted as a love story for grown-ups, likely in the sense that it's almost guaranteed to make you cry.
