'Peaky Blinders' Film Reportedly Gets Title as Tim Roth Joins the Cast

Filming for the Peaky Blinders movie is just around the corner, as more cast and a rumored title surfaced over the final weekend of September 2024. Earlier this week, the production confirmed it had cast the legendary Tim Roth (Rob Roy) in an undisclosed role, making him the fourth A-list name to have been confirmed to star in the World War II-set film. Roth joins the already-confirmed Barry Keoghan, Rebecca Ferguson, and, of course, star Cillian Murphy, who, at this point, looks like the only character to carry over from the original series. However, that's not the only news swirling around the film.

According to What's on Netflix (which has been keeping up with all of these scoops), the latest news is that the film now has an official title.  The film will reportedly be titled "The Immortal Man," which one assumes is a reference to the fact that Murphy's character, Tommy Shelby, faked his death at the end of the series finale to restart fresh as World War II threatened to break out. Netflix has not confirmed this news but with several more casting announcements rumored but unconfirmed, one assumes a full press release, along with the first images, will soon be forthcoming.

The reported casting that's still unconfirmed concerned A-list star Tom Hardy (Wuthering Heights), whose reported potential return to the series surfaced a day or so after the Tim Roth news. Also included in that report is Jay Lycurgo (The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself), one of a stable of young adult actors who cycle in and out of Netflix projects. Netflix has confirmed neither actor as yet, and requests for comment went unanswered.
