Everything British Streaming on PBS for September 2026
Our monthly rundown of everything British coming to PBS and PBS Passport for September 2026.
The official start of the 2026-2027 television season is just around the corner, and we are super excited for the autumn part of the lineup. A plethora of highly anticipated series are coming in the next few months across a variety of streaming services, including several that will be available on your local PBS stations and PBS Passports.
Except the few times Masterpiece has had to push the start of the season up into the final week of August, September is usually a full reset of all series, with little to no carryover shows from the previous month. That said, that’s not the case for 2026. The Downton Abbey re-air continues apace, having aired Seasons 1 through 3 back-to-back since mid-May. Season 3 will wrap up mid-month and, from the looks of things, probably won’t start again until the new year, but we’ll be keeping an eye on that in case it changes.
Meanwhile, September is pretty stacked with two Masterpiece favorites returning at the top of the month, our usual array of Walter Presents debuts on Fridays, and another season of an Acorn TV fan favorite hitting PBS Passport for members to enjoy.
Let’s run down everything British streaming and airing on local PBS stations for September 2026.
Under the Vines Season 2
Season 2 of Under the Vines is this month’s big winner of “Which Acorn TV Series Will Come Out from Behind the Paywall” sweepstakes. Starring New Zealand actor Rebecca Gibney and British actor Charles Edwards, the two play an odd couple of city slickers forced to work together when they inherit a failing vineyard down under. The feel-good series ran through Season 3, so there’s one more installment of gorgeous Kiwi landscapes to follow.
All episodes of Under the Vines Season 2 will debut on select PBS linear channels and PBS Passports starting Tuesday, September 1, 2026. As always, check your local listings and streaming services.
Everybody Lies (Tout Le Monde Ment)
Walter Presents kicks off September with the debut of the Franco-Belgian series Everybody Lies (Tout Le Monde Ment). Vincent Elbaz (Elementary) stars as Vincent Verner, a former Parisian police officer-turned-bookshop owner, who is recruited to join the Sensitive Affairs Investigation Group. Technically, this is referred to as “Season 1,” but each episode aired as a standalone on RTS 1 between 2022 and 2025, and there’s been no renewal movement since, so we’re betting this is a one-and-done.
All four episodes of Everybody Lies will debut on PBS Passport and the PBS Masterpiece Prime Video Channel on Friday, September 4, 2026.
The Marlow Murder Club Season 3
The Marlow Murder Club has been releasing new seasons like clockwork since its debut in 2024, and it doesn’t look like it’s stopping anytime soon. Samantha Bond, Jo Martin, and Cara Horgan return as Judith, Suzie, and Becks, ready to solve three more two-part cases for Season 3. Season 4’s already greenlit, so whatever goes down in this season’s cozy crime capers, we know everyone comes out just fine.
The Marlow Murder Club Season 3 debuts Sunday, September 6, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET on most PBS stations, the PBS app, and the PBS Masterpiece Prime Video Channel, and will air/stream weekly through mid-October. All episodes will be available as a binge on PBS Passport starting on premiere day.
Marble Hall Murders (Susan Ryeland Season 3)
It’s the final installment of what Masterpiece has finally broken down and titled The Susan Ryeland Mysteries, with the premiere of Marble Hall Murders. The series’ last mystery has a bit of a weird twist, introducing audiences to the concept of the continuation novel, but the first two seasons were so good, we trust Masterpiece to make this work as well.

Incognito
Dutch drama Incognito ran for one season on its original network, Videoland, in 2023 and hasn’t been renewed, so we think this is also a one-and-done. Dragan Bakema stars as undercover cop Felix Hartman, on the trail of Lize Berg (Melody Klaver), a woman who may or may not be a dangerous top criminal.
All six episodes of Incognito will debut on PBS Passport and the PBS Masterpiece Prime Video Channel on Friday, September 11, 2026.
Paradise (Il Paradiso Delle Signore) Season 12
Paradise (Il Paradiso Delle Signore) Season 11 just arrived on PBS Passport in June 2026. Despite the short gap between seasons, don’t worry that Walter Presents is running out any time soon, as “Season 11” is really Season 3, Episodes 61-70, and “Season 12” continues pulling from the show’s third season, with Episodes 71-80. For those who managed to survive the rough transition when the show changed formats from a 20-episode-a-season weekly nighttime soap to a 120-episode-a-season daytime soap, and are still watching, that means there’s just more to binge.
All ten episodes of Paradise Season 12 will debut on PBS Passport and the PBS Masterpiece Prime Video Channel on Friday, September 18, 2026.
Trespasses
Based on Louise Kennedy’s novel of the same name, Trespasses is a 1970s period drama about falling in love during the height of the Troubles. The limited series stars Lola Petticrew as Cushla, a Catholic schoolteacher who falls in love with a much older and very married Protestant barrister (Tom Cullen). Gillian Anderson co-stars as Cushla’s embittered, angry mother.
Trespasses debuts Sunday, September 20, 2026, at 10 p.m. ET on most PBS stations, the PBS app, and the PBS Masterpiece Prime Video Channel, and will air/stream weekly through mid-October. All episodes will be available as a binge on PBS Passport starting on premiere day.
Second Death (La Segunda Muerte)
The Spanish thriller Second Death (La Segunda Muerte) debuted on Movistar Plus+ in 2024. Starring Elite’s Georgina Amorós as Sandra Ortiz, it follows a young police officer with a photographic memory who returns home to take care of her ailing father. Unfortunately, she accidentally stumbles across the dead body of an old friend, and despite her best efforts, winds up working the case. This is another series that hasn’t been renewed since it arrived two years ago, so sadly, it’s probably also a one-and-done.
All six episodes of Second Death will debut on PBS Passport and the PBS Masterpiece Prime Video Channel on Friday, September 25, 2026.
