After an incredible run of seasons that took off after failing to make a dent in the ratings in its first two outings, Industry will return for a fifth and final season in 2027. The financial drama started as a cross between Succession and Euphoria, a story about young, just-graduated interns navigating a world where too much money means too much power and playtime. However, by Season 3, it became a story about women and how they navigate to high-profile positions in a patriarchal world, while Season 4 turned the series into an Epstein scandal parable, one that only a British-made show could tell about America in the 2020s.

Series creators Mickey Down and Konrad Kay once again are adding multiple new names to the roster for the forthcoming season. Moreover, as the show slowly becomes more internationally balanced, the new cast is split between new U.K. and U.S. additions, suggesting that Season 5 will double down on being a parable of America’s empirical collapse, still currently in progress. It also means it’s the show we’re most looking forward to when it debuts on HBO – which by then may be owned by Skydance and American State Television.

For the show’s final outing, the series has added British actors Jessica Brown Findlay (Downton Abbey), Cary Elwes (Stranger Things), Sam Riley (Rebecca), and Bally Gill (Slow Horses), American actors Zosia Mamet (The Decameron), Dianna Agron (Glee), and Luke Manley (Marty Supreme), plus Ukrainian actor Eduard Poliakov (On Drive).

Dianna Agron, Sam Riley, Cary Elwes, Luke Manley, Bally Gill, and Eduard Poliakov will join 'Industry' Season 5 (Tom Mitchell/Grayson Lauffenburger/Austin Hargrave/John Cafaro/David Reiss/Kateryna Kozinska)

There is no Season 5 synopsis yet, merely character descriptions of who plays who among the new additions. Brown Findlay plays Marina St. Clair, a family friend of Sir Henry Muck; Elwes will play Padgett Stillman, an investor; Riley has been cast as Solomon Kerr, an elusive British businessman who made his fortune in Silicon Valley; and Gill plays Nikesh Shah, a charismatic left-wing politician. Agron is playing Skip Binksy, CFO of a wellness tech company; Manley is set to play Stevie Delmonte, an execution trader; and Poliakov has been cast as Olexij Kovalchuk, also a trader.

The Season 4 cast expected to return includes Marisa Abela (Back to Black), Myha’la (Black Mirror), Ken Leung (Star Wars), Sagar Radia (The Good Karma Hospital), Miriam Petche (The Worst Witch), and Kit Harington (Game of Thrones).

Down and Kay will serve as the writing/directing team for Season 4 and executive produce alongside Jane TranterKate Crowther, and Ryan Rasmussen for Bad Wolf and Rebecca Ferguson for BBC. Kathleen McCaffrey of Little Gems will join as executive producer for the new season.

Industry Season 5 is currently filming in the U.K. and is expected to air on the BBC and HBO in 2027.
