‘Telly Visions: The Podcast’ Returns to ‘Downton Abbey’
In which Lacy Baugher-Milas and Sophie Brookover bring you a special run of episodes in our 2026 Summer Special: a 'Downton Abbey' rewatch.

One of the saddest parts of the public media budget crunch was the end of our beloved Telly Visions: The Podcast. Lacy and Ani launched the podcast in 2020 with the debut of Sanditon. Over time, it grew into our outlet to talk about our favorite shows, to deep-dive into older series, and to explore how the streaming industry was changing the landscape of British television in America.
Since going independent and moving to Ghost, we have been working behind the scenes to bring the podcast back into the lineup. It took our first round of paid subscribers to raise enough funds to produce a test episode, and here it is. Our first run at returning to your ears and eyes is a limited-run special edition of the podcast, a Downton Abbey Rewatch. Hopefully, you all will like the results enough to subscribe to the rest of the season. Paid podcast subscribers will receive an email by the end of the week with instructions for accessing paywalled episodes.

That's right, we now have enough paid subscribers to afford a professional audio editor (shout out Engineer Kyle!) to bring you a special run of episodes in our 2026 Summer Special: a full Downton Abbey rewatch. PBS MASTERPIECE is rebroadcasting Seasons 1-3 in their entirety starting on May 17, and we are bringing you, dear listeners, two episodes of hyperfocused, deeply specialized, 100 proof yapping per season. Insights! Observations! Comparisons! Reflections on Downton's influence! Some "Where are they now?" thoughts! More basketball jokes than you might have anticipated! We are so back! Our next installment, covering Season 1, Episodes 2-4, will arrive on June 8.

Since this podcast renaissance is something of an experiment, we are currently running a special subscription tier for it, priced at $48/year (or $4.88/month) for 12 episodes. Your subscription dollars – for which we are eternally grateful! – will help fund future episodes. The more listener subscriptions we have, the closer we get to a regular biweekly (or, dare to dream, weekly) podcasting schedule.
The 12-episode podcast (two episodes per season) will span most of this year and take us into 2027. Masterpiece is rerunning the entire series, soup to nuts, on Sunday nights at 10 p.m. ET; Seasons 1 through 3 will air back-to-back, starting Sunday, May 17, and running through mid-September 2026. As always, we will follow the airing schedule. The debut dates for Seasons 4 through 6 have not yet been announced; once they are, we will follow accordingly.
(By our math, even if Season 4 starts in mid-September, the series will run until February or March 2027.)

Telly Visions: The Podcast “Return to Downton Abbey” will release six episodes through mid-September 2026. The other six episodes will be announced in due course when Masterpiece schedules the Downton Abbey Season 4-6 premiere dates.
