Everything Coming to BritBox & AcornTV in March 2026

It's our monthly rundown of everything coming to the British-focused niche streaming services like BritBox and AcornTV, in March 2026.

The cast of This City is Ours
Mike Noble, Kevin Harvey, Laura Aikman, Hannah Onslow, James Nelson-Joyce, Sean Bean, Jack McMullen, Julie Graham, Stephen Walters, Darci Shaw, and Saoirse-Monica Jackson in 'This City is Ours' Season 1 (AMC/BBC)

The first few months of 2026 have brought major changes to the two biggest niche streaming services that focus on U.K., European, and Oceania-set shows. For February, the big news was AMC Networks' (long overdue) revamp, in which Sundance Now re-oriented towards the kind of indie films playing at the film festival for which it was named. A month later, it is now BritBox's turn to announce major changes.

As we discussed back in 2024, the BBC's buy-out of BritBox finally gave the public broadcaster a successful international streaming service after several unfortunate half-measures that never caught the attention of U.S. viewers. The most high-profile of these attempts was BBC Select, a "best of BBC documentaries" service that attempted to be a standalone subscription offering but wound up as one of the many British-oriented FAST channel feeds buried on Pluto, Tubi, and the like.

BritBox's transformation into a BBC product was led by CEO Robert Schildhouse, who did such a great job expanding on the service's success that the BBC handed him BBC Select to oversee as well in 2025. It will surprise no one that Schildhouse's next move has been to combine BritBox and BBC Select into the new "BritBox Premier" tier, putting this treasure trove of documentaries somewhere viewers will actually find them. Moreover, BBC Select arrivals are now included in the BritBox monthly premieres list; you'll find them at the bottom of this month's rundown.

With that, let's review everything coming to the dedicated niche streaming services in March 2026.

Murdoch Mysteries Season 19

Canada's longest-running period-set case of the week show, Murdoch Mysteries, is back for a record-setting nineteenth season. The series has been airing day and date in America over on Ovation since October; its Acorn TV arrival marks the official streaming debut in the U.S. Yannick Bisson, Thomas Craig, Jonny Harris, and Paul Sun-Hyung Lee return for another 22 cases to solve with their newfangled forensic scientific method; sadly, Helene Joy seems to have left the show completely, making her character, Julia, Murdoch's Schrödinger's Wife.

Murdoch Mysteries Season 19 will debut on Acorn TV on Monday, March 2, 2026, with new episodes arriving weekly on Mondays through the end of July.

This City is Ours Season 1

AMC+ neatly slid this acquisition at the eleventh hour. This City Is Ours, the Sean Bean-led Liverpool mafia drama, had been confirmed for Season 2 in mid-2025, with no sign of an American distributor until the tail end of February. AMC Networks announced it was scooping up the title ahead of this year's London Screenings, with a premiere date so soon, it'll be long over by the time The Vampire Lestat appears. Despite the extremely short promotional window, I continue to have faith Anglophiles will find this one, since the cast is legit stacked from top to bottom, including Laura Aikman, Hannah Onslow, James Nelson-Joyce, Julie Graham, Darci Shaw, and Saoirse-Monica Jackson.

This City is Ours Season 1 debuts on AMC+ on Thursday, March 5, 2026, with one episode a week through the end of April.

Nautilus

For those of you who missed Nautilus when it premiered in 2025 because it was buried deep within AMC+, please correct that oversight this month. The Shazad Latif-led series based on the Jules Verne novel 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea was originally commissioned by Disney+ before selling it off to AMC Networks. Now, it is finally moving to Acorn TV, where it should have debuted in the first place.

All episodes of Nautilus debut on Acorn TV on Monday, March 16, 2026.

Mystery Road: Origin Season 2

For fans of Australian Outback set police procedurals, Acorn TV will premiere the second season of Mystery Road: Origin towards the end of the month. Like all good police procedurals, the series, which stars Mark Coles Smith as local detective Jay Swan, is a spinoff of a spinoff; the original two-season series Mystery Road was a spinoff of the 2013 Ivan Sen film, also titled Mystery Road. Perhaps Origin can get lucky and make it to three seasons, surpassing its predecessors.

Mystery Road: Origin Season 2 debuts on Monday, March 23, 2026, on Acorn TV and will stream one episode a week through the end of April.

The Feud on Shelbury Drive

The Feud on Shelbury Drive originally premiered on 5 under the title The Feud. Acorn TV tends to alter titles when they debut in the U.S., so it's unclear whether this was to avoid confusion with the Ryan Murphy series Feud. (For example, This City is Ours is technically airing over here as This City Is Ours: A Family Crime Story. No, we won't be calling it that.) Jill Halfpenny and Rupert Penry-Jones star as a couple whose choice to put an extension on their home shatters the suburban peace.

The Feud on Shelbury Drive premieres on Acorn TV on Monday, March 30, 2026, with new episodes streaming weekly through the end of April.

Hope Street Season 5

One of BritBox's biggest sleeper hits is the Northern Ireland-set daytime police procedural soap, Hope Street, aided by PBS scooping up seasons on second run. (Season 4 landed on PBS Passport in February.) The series has undergone a ridiculous amount of cast turnover (and an entire set revamp), but Season 5 seems to have finally settled into a groove with Tara Lynne O'Neill as Inspector Eve Dunlop and show stalwart Kerri Quinn as DS Marlene Pettigrew.

Hope Street Season 5 debuts Thursday, March 5, 2026, on BritBox, and will stream new episodes on Thursdays through the end of April.

Mudtown/Ar y Ffin

We've been waiting for the Welsh dual-language Mudtown (Ar y Ffin) to find an American streaming home since it was originally commissioned in 2023. BritBox and Acorn TV finally began bringing over Welsh-language revival programming in early 2024, with shows that are part of the Cymraeg 2050 initiative aimed at gaining 1 million Welsh speakers. Set in Newport, Mudtown stars Erin Richards as Magistrate Clare Lewis, who finds herself investigating a crime ring that may or may not be stalking her family. Tom Cullen and Kimberley Nixon co-star.

Mudtown/Ar y Ffin debuts with two episodes on Thursday, March 12, 2026, with one episode a week to follow through mid-April.

This Farming Life Season 8

BritBox's commitment to bringing Americans U.K. reality TV series about rural life continues, with the newest season of This Farming Life, the Scotland-based series that focuses on five farming families, and their very different approaches to agriculture. The series has been running since 2016; Season 8 concluded at the end of February 2026 in the U.K., and will begin streaming weekly on BritBox all of two weeks after its BBC season finale.

This Farming Life Season 8 debuts on Friday, March 13, 2026, and will stream weekly through the end of May.

The Lady

BritBox's headline debut for March won't arrive until the second half of the month, with The Lady, based on the real-life story of Jane Andrews, the former royal dresser to Sarah Ferguson, the former Duchess of York, who was convicted of murdering her lover, Thomas Cressman, in 2001. The series stars the powerhouse duo of Mia McKenna-Bruce as Andrews and Natalie Dormer as Fergie, and is being hailed in the U.K. as one of the first great series of 2026.

The Lady will debut on BritBox on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, and stream with weekly episodes through mid-April.

BBC Select Documentaries

Since BBC Select just ported over its entire library, most of this month's "new" titles are older fare.
