Acorn TV Sets Premiere for ‘Harry Wild’ Season 5

Acorn TV continues to be wild about Harry, with 'Harry Wild' Season 5 premiering in June.

If Acorn TV were to have an official flagship show, it would be hard-pressed not to name Harry Wild to that honor. It was not the streaming service’s first “1990s era star plays retiree who solves crimes,” that title goes to My Life is Murder. It’s also not the one that’s gotten the most media attention; that is undoubtedly the more recent Irish Blood. But Harry Wild was the success that proved the concept worked. It’s the continuing popularity of the Jane Seymour-starring show that encouraged Acorn to greenlight Irish Blood, as well as Art Detectives and You’re Killing Me.

Irish Blood and You’re Killing Me have had their effect on Harry Wild, however. When the series debuted in the later years of the pandemic, it was very careful to cast only Irish and U.K. actors, despite Seymour’s fame stemming from the American series Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. Now that Acorn has seen that it doesn’t need to be quite so strict about which side of the pond the cast is from (or, in the case of You’re Killing Me, which side it’s filmed on), Harry Wild is finally allowing itself an American actor or two, as a treat.

More importantly, it allowed the show to reunite Seymour with her favorite American co-star, Joe Lando, who starred opposite her as Byron Sully in Dr. Quinn. If his arrival does not trigger a will-they-or-won’t-they for the series, I personally will riot.

Here’s the Season 5 logline.

In season five of Harry Wild, Harry is back with her most sensational and thrilling ride yet, including murder mysteries in the world of whiskey-making, theatre, and musical tattoos, not to mention a gang of middle-aged lady burglars and a murder close to home.

Seymour is, as always, also joined by returning co-stars Rohan Nedd (Whitstable Pearl) as Fergus, Kevin Ryan (Guilt) as Charlie Wild, Rose O’Neill (Sherlock & Daughter) as Sister Lola, Paul Tylak (Kin) as Glenn Talbot, Samantha Mumba (Loftus Hall) as Fergus’ mother, Paula Kenny, and West End musical star Aoife Mulholland as Orla Wild. Season 5 also adds Lando (The Bay) as Pierce Kennedy, the new State Pathologist.

The new season was penned by series creator David Logan, with assistance from writer Jo Spain. Logan, Spain, and Seymour are also executive producers, alongside Daniel MarchKlaus Zimmermann, James Gibb, David McLoughlin, Catherine Mackin, and Bea TammerFrank Seyberth and Claus Wunn executive produce for ZDF.

Harry Wild Season 5 premieres on Monday, June 22, 2026, and will stream weekly on Acorn TV through the end of July.
