‘Harry Wild’ Season 5 Brings Us a New Boyfriend

'Harry Wild' returns for Season 5, finally free to be the show it probably should have been from the start.

It’s been an absolutely minute since we reviewed Harry Wild, the series that’s been Acorn TV’s number one sleeper hit since it first debuted way back in 2022. We weren’t big fans of the series at first; much like its fellow “odd-ball couple amateur detective team-ups,” the series wasn’t quite sure of itself in the early going, and the cases weren’t interesting enough to cover for the uneven relationships.

However, since Season 3, Harry Wild has come into its own as its lead, Jane Seymour (Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman), has settled into her character, and her sidekick, Fergus (Rohan Nedd), has grown from an immature teenager in need of an adult who cares into the intelligent young man he’s meant to be.

Part of Season 3 finding its groove was adding a possible romance for Harry. Fergus has been pining over Lola for most of the show’s run, but she’s constantly turning him down – even joined a convent at some point, which is a pretty good example of how ridiculous the show tends to be. But with Season 5, Harry’s previous will-they-or-won’t-they boyfriend, also named Harry (Lochlann O’Mearáin), has exited, allowing the first episode to open with the introduction of Joe Lando (Seymour’s former co-star and love interest from Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman) as new State Pathologist Pierce Kennedy.
