Kill Jackie will officially arrive in the Autumn 2026 lineup on AMC+. The eight-part limited series, adapted from Aidan Truhen’s The Price You Pay, went into production in mid-2025 and is being produced by the U.K. arm of Amazon Studios for the British version of Prime Video. However, with mega-star Catherine Zeta-Jones signed on to play the (gender-flipped) protagonist, Jackie Price, it was pretty much assured to eventually find a U.S. streaming home, which it finally secured in July 2026.

While AMC+ may technically have only a fraction of Prime Video’s subscribers here in the U.S., it’s not necessarily a bad thing that Amazon Studios chose to let the project stream there on this side of the pond. As we’ve noted many times, Amazon is absolute rubbish at marketing shows that aren’t automatic hits or cost one billion American dollars to produce. Meanwhile, AMC+’s parent company, AMC Global, is finally getting its house in order, and the flagship service is eager to create its own version of sister streamer Acorn’s successful “mystery series starring an actor who was huge in the 1990s.”

Billed as a “gonzo thriller,” Kill Jackie may indeed be AMC+’s answer to Acorn’s Irish Blood and Harry Wild, taking the gangster/assassin/loveable murderer trope that powers its few hit shows like This City Is Ours and Interview with the Vampire, and giving it the patented Acorn actor twist.

Here’s the series’ synopsis:

Kill Jackie follows Jackie Price who has spent the last twenty years living a quiet, luxurious existence selling fine art while remaining anonymous after escaping a criminal past. Her carefully constructed world is shattered when she discovers that The Seven Demons, a squad of ruthless assassins, have been hired to kill her. Jackie will need to unleash her old instincts and execute a dangerous plan to take down the Demons.
