The new Catherine Zeta-Jones vehicle Kill Jackie has finally landed an American streaming distributor. The series had been swimming around in development for a while before landing at Amazon Studios U.K. in early 2025, with Zeta-Jones attached to star; however, the first press release deliberately avoided saying the series would premiere on Amazon’s Prime Video in the U.S.

That Amazon hadn’t locked down release windows for itself on both sides of the pond, it seemed like the series might not find a home here, even with an A-list film star in the lead role. But with filming on the project now complete and plans for a U.K. release before the end of 2026 on the horizon, it’s a relief to see that AMC+ has picked it up.

Kill Jackie is an eight-part limited series adapted from Aidan Truhen’s The Price You Pay, with the novel’s protagonist, Jack Price, gender-swapped to “Jackie.” Billed as a “gonzo thriller,” the story is a globe-spanning epic, filmed in multiple European destinations, including Bilbao, Lisbon, London, and Zeta-Jones’ hometown of Swansea.

Here’s the series’ synopsis:

Kill Jackie follows Jackie Price who has spent the last twenty years living a quiet, luxurious existence selling fine art while remaining anonymous after escaping a criminal past. Her carefully constructed world is shattered when she discovers that The Seven Demons, a squad of ruthless assassins, have been hired to kill her. Jackie will need to unleash her old instincts and execute a dangerous plan to take down the Demons.
