‘The Celebrity Traitors’ Season 2 Trailer Looks Like the Best Yet

If Peacock is really going to ride out the streaming wars by being the home of trashy reality TV series, and it doesn’t air the BBC’s Celebrity Traitors Season 2 weekly starting in October, then it has no one to blame but itself when Mergers and Acquisitions come for its soul.
Listen, you don’t make a deal for the rights to a hit show, which has put together a cast of some of the greatest actors of our time, mixed with the biggest A-list celebrities in the U.K., and then binge-dump it with no fanfare. That is literal entertainment malpractice. It’s understandable that the American version of The Traitors is probably having a bit of an inferiority complex crisis right now. After all, it’s been casting “celebrities” every season – to the point that casting “civilians” for Season 5 necessitated an entirely new title and branding – and no one made a big fuss like this.
However, in the U.S. version, “celebrities” are people who are known by monikers like “Boston Rob” and “Johnny Bananas.” Compare that to a cast that sports acting legends like Richard E. Grant and Michael Sheen, and future OBEs Bella Ramsey and Myha’la.
You can’t. There is no comparison. One is standard reality show fare; the other is pure bloody genius.
The rest of the Season 2 cast list includes actors Miranda Hart (Call the Midwife), Sebastian Croft (Heartstopper), Julie Hesmondhalgh (Mr Bates vs The Post Office), Sharon Rooney (The Capture), Joe Lycett (The Sandman), plus TV presenters/comedians Maya Jama (Glow Up), Romesh Ranganathan (Avoidance), Rob Beckett (Bluey), James Acaster (Drunk History) and Professor Hannah Fry. Other celebrities competing include singer-songwriters James Blunt and Leigh-Anne Pinnock (Little Mix); journalists/documentarians Amol Rajan and Ross Kemp; podcaster Joanne McNally, YouTuber King Kenny, and former model Jerry Hall.

The Celebrity Traitors Season 2 will premiere on the BBC on Thursday, October 1, 2026, and will stream new episodes weekly through November.

If Peacock knew what was good for it, it would premiere Season 2 here within a few days, the way Netflix does with The Great British Baking Show, and air the series weekly. However, if the past is any indication, Season 2 will most likely arrive unannounced as a binge the day after the finale airs in the U.K.
Perhaps when Peacock becomes a free network hosted by YouTube Premium, they’ll hire someone who actually knows how to run a streaming service.
