Callum Turner Will Jack In to Apple TV's 'Neuromancer' in January

As part of its massive, multishow Hall H presentation at this year's San Diego Comic Con, Apple TV confirmed the release date for its forthcoming adaptation of Neuromancer, a big-budget, very buzzy sci-fi property that's going to get a lot of attention when it finally hits our screens next year.

The ten-part series is based on the landmark 1984 novel by William Gibson, which is widely considered one of the most important science fiction works of the 20th century. (It also pretty much invented the concept of cyberpunk as we know it today.) Set in a near-future dystopia that essentially looks like our collective worst nightmare when it comes to concepts like artificial intelligence, data tracking, state surveillance, and megacorporations, Neuromancer follows the story of a talented hacker who is drawn into a world of high-stakes crime and digital espionage.

Masters of the Air breakout — and rumored James Bond contender — Callum Turner stars as superhacker Case, who joins forces with Briana Middleton's cybernetically augmented mercenary Molly to pull off a complicated heist from a corporate dynasty that's full of secrets.

Alongside Turner and Middleton, the series also stars Mark Strong (Nine Perfect Strangers), Joseph Lee (Beef), Peter Sarsgaard (Presumed Innocent), and Clémence Poésy (King & Conqueror).

Neuromancer follows a damaged, top-rung super-hacker named Case (Turner) who is thrust into a web of digital espionage and high-stakes crime with his partner Molly, a razor-girl assassin, as they pull off a heist on a corporate dynasty with untold secrets.

The ensemble cast also includes Max Irons (Young Sherlock), Dane DeHaan (The Staircase), Junia Rees (Firebrand), Jordan Kouamé (Malpractice), Emma Laird (Mint), Marc Menchaca (The Abandons), André De Shields (Hadestown: The Musical), and Isabella Pappas (Finding Alice).

The series is created for television by Graham Roland (Dark Winds) and JD Dillard (The Twilight Zone), with Roland serving as showrunner and Dillard directing the first three episodes. Both are also executive producers, alongside Jennifer Haley, William Gibson, David Levine, Garrett Kemble and Zack Hayden for Anonymous Content, as well as Aubrey “Drake” Graham, Adel “Future” Nur and Jason Shrier for DreamCrew Entertainment.

Neuromancer will premiere Friday, January 22, 2027, on Apple TV with two episodes, followed by one new episode every Friday through March 19, 2027.
