'The Gentlemen' Snags a Season 2 Trailer and a Season 3 Renewal
Guy Ritchie's buzzy series will be sticking around for a while.
Everything's coming up The Gentlemen at the moment. The popular Guy Ritchie (Sherlock Holmes) series will debut its second season in September and has landed a Season 3 renewal several weeks ahead of its premiere.
The posh crime thriller stars Theo James (The White Lotus) as Eddie Horniman, the newly minted Duke of Halstead who not only inherited his father's title — over the objections of his elder brother — but the hidden cannabis empire that comes with it. Now the show's second season will pick up a year after its first, as Eddie, his partner Susie Glass (Kaya Scodelario) and her incarcerated father, Bobby (Ray Winstone), discover that a life of crime is something they're all turning out to be very good at. And his ambition is only getting stronger.
Thankfully, we'll have plenty of time to see where Eddie's story takes him. With the guarantee of a third season in hand, it's clear there are plenty more capers to come.
“The ambition of The Gentlemen has accelerated, the world has expanded, and the consequences carry weight," Ritchie said in a statement. "A third season felt inevitable, and I’m looking forward to pushing the boundaries of it further.”

It’s been one year since Eddie and Susie joined forces to work together in Bobby’s criminal empire overseas. As they drive to expand their enterprise, the decisions Bobby is making seem to be increasingly unsound. Now Eddie and Susie must decide whether to take action or risk losing it all, but unfettered ambition never ends well…

Alongside James, Scodelario, and Winstone, other returning cast members include Daniel Ings (A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms), Joely Richardson (Renegade Nell), Vinnie Jones (Elementary), Jasmine Blackborow (Marie Antoinette), Pearce Quigley (Showtrial), Michael Vu (In the Grey), Harry Goodwins (Sunset Drive), not-so-newcomer-anymore Ruby Sear, and American Giancarlo Esposito (Parish).
New faces joining the gang for Season 2 are Hugh Bonneville (Downton Abbey), Benjamin Clementine (Dune), Benedetta Porcaroli (The Leopard), Michele Morrone (Medici), Sergio Castellitto (Conclave), Amra Mallassi (Hijack), Tyler Conti (Fightland), British professional boxer Chris Eubank Jr, and TV host, broadcaster and entrepreneur Maya Jama.
Based on his film of the same name, The Gentlemen is created by Ritchie, who co-wrote all the episodes with Matthew Read (Curfew). Ritchie also directs with Erin Creevy. Laura Jackson and Max Keene are producers, with Ritchie, Read, Will Gould, Frith Tiplady, Simon Crawford Collins, and Ivan Atkinson of Moonage Pictures as executive producers.
The Gentlemen Season 2 premieres September 3 on Netflix. Season 1 is currently streaming.
