‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’ Will Rewrite the Story of Oasis

Ask any longtime fan of the British rock band Oasis, and they’ll almost certainly tell you a couple of very similar things. One, last year’s Live ’25 reunion tour was cathartic and meaningful in ways almost none of us could have guessed before it took place. Two, a whole lot of us weren’t entirely sure it would actually happen. This is a fact Noel and Liam Gallagher themselves acknowledge in the trailer for Don’t Look Back in Anger, a documentary film that is as much about the brothers’ reconciliation as it is their sold-out series of reunion gigs.

“Will it fall apart again?” Noel asks via voiceover across scenes that appear to be rather tense early rehearsals. Considering how many times Liam essentially walked off or crashed out in the middle of a show back in the before times, this is not an out-of-left-field concern. But the pair seems uniquely determined. “We’ve got a chance to change the narrative of the band,” Noel says in the clip... and that is exactly what’s happened.

While there have certainly been plenty of stories in the media about both the band’s final days in 2009 and the various reasons the brothers had for trying again after nearly two decades of estrangement, Don’t Look Back in Anger aims to let Noel and Liam speak for themselves. If the trailer is anything to go by, they’re going to be predictably honest about... pretty much everything.

Here’s the film’s synopsis.

The feature documentary charts Liam and Noel Gallagher’s triumphant reunion tour Oasis Live ’25, one of the most anticipated rock ‘n’ roll comebacks of our time. The film is an unapologetically uplifting account of arguably the biggest musical event of 2025, capturing the experience and emotions of the band and their fans across the world. The unique perspective includes rehearsal, backstage and onstage access as well as the first joint interviews with Noel and Liam in over 25 years. Alongside the band’s sold-out world tour, the film also explores the profound emotional impact of this phenomenal global cultural moment and what their music means to audiences and generations worldwide.
