‘The Celebrity Traitors’ Season 2 Offers Thoughts & Prayers

Peacock needs to stream this series weekly in the U.S. as Netflix does with GBBO; to do otherwise is entertainment malpractice.

The Traitors is the franchise that keeps on giving. With so many iterations of the program being made in multiple countries (The Traitors Canada! The Traitors Ireland!), there’s no shortage of elaborate backstabbing and betrayal available to view at virtually any moment. But as we wait for Season 5 of the American version to drop next January, it’s time to turn our eyes toward one of its best spin-offs: The U.K.’s The Celebrity Traitors.

If that sounds weird, it’s probably because you are accustomed to the American version of The Traitors, which is basically a celebrity version already. (If you count people like Big Brother contestants and members of the Real Housewives franchise as celebrities, that is.) Peacock is set to launch an all-civilian version, The Traitors: New Blood, in September.

However, because the regular U.K. version of the show has always been “all-civilian,” when it goes all-in on a celebrity installment, it doesn’t settle for C-listers.

The first iteration of Celebrity Traitors featured an impressive array of famous faces, including actors Celia Imrie (The Diplomat), Nick Mohammed (Ted Lasso) and Mark Bonnar (Ludwig), Olympian Tom Daley, TV personality Alan Carr and singers Paloma Faith and Charlotte Church. But its second outing is set to take it to the next level, tapping even more exciting stars to take part. If our first look at the new season is anything to go by, host Claudia Winkelman is planning to put them through it.

(The vibes, as the kids say, are immaculate.)

Here’s the Season 2 cast list, with the most recognizable names for American viewers listed first:

What’s more, many of these celebs are already fans of The Traitors franchise, and have come into the castle eager to play the game to its fullest.

The Celebrity Traitors Season 2 cast

Both The Traitors and The Celebrity Traitors are produced by Studio Lambert Scotland. Lynette Woods-ReynoldsGemma Scholes, and Faye Donaldson executive produce alongside Mike CottonSarah FayLewis Thurlow, and Katy Fox for Studio Lambert Scotland.

The Celebrity Traitors Season 2 will premiere on the BBC sometime in September or October 2026. If Peacock knew what was good for it, it would premiere Season 2 here within a few days, the way Netflix does with The Great British Baking Show, and air the series weekly.

However, if the past is any indication, Season 2 will most likely arrive as a binge the day after the finale airs in the U.K.
