‘The Hardacres’ Season 2 Debuts on BritBox This August
BritBox has confirmed that the second season of period drama 'The Hardacres' will close out the summer.
BritBox has confirmed that the second season of period drama The Hardacres will come to America to close out the summer. A sort of cross between Downton Abbey and All Creatures Great & Small, the series mixes heartwarming storytelling and a wholesome feel with the social stresses of life among the Yorkshire elite.
Based on the novels by C.L. Skelton, the rags-to-riches tale follows the titular Hardacre family as they navigate the social scene of the 1890s after a radical new business idea suddenly makes them rich beyond their wildest dreams. But just because they now have the money to move among the upper crust of society doesn’t mean they feel like they belong there — or that they’re accepted by their new neighbors and peers.
The show’s second outing will take the family on the next step of their journey as they adjust to the ever-changing world their newfound wealth has granted them access to. Modernity is everywhere, from new electric lighting to film projectors, and the younger Hardacres begin to embrace ideas that challenge expectations bout who they’re supposed to become.

Here’s the Season 2 synopsis.
