In ‘A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder’ Season 2, the Past Is Never Dead
Crime-solving isn't done with Pippa Fitz-Amobi just yet.
A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is back on the case this May, and if the trailer for the show’s second season is anything to go by, no mystery is ever truly open and shut. Based on author Holly Jackson’s bestselling trilogy of novels, the series stars Emma Myers (Wednesday) as Pippa “Pip” Fitz-Amobi, a young true crime enthusiast who becomes convinced there’s more to her small town’s most famous death than everyone thinks and decides to investigate for herself.
As the second season begins, Pip and her Buckinghamshire town are still reeling from the uncomfortable truths she discovered about the Andie Bell case. Elsewhere, Max Hastings is about to be on trial for sexual assault, thanks to information Pip dug up during her investigations last season. She’s also got some big life issues of her own to sort out, including her unresolved romantic situationship with investigative partner Ravi. She has more than enough on her plate without the prospect of another case.
Season 2 will adapt Good Girl, Bad Blood, the second novel in Jackson’s trilogy, which follows Pip as she searches for Connor’s missing brother, Jamie, who disappears just days before he is meant to give evidence in Max’s trial.
“I’m ready for this to be over. No more murder,” Pip intones in the trailer. But despite her best efforts, it seems as though crime-solving isn’t quite done with her just yet.
Here’s the synopsis.
After solving the Andie Bell case, Pip is determined to fix the fallout – and stay away from any more investigations. But as Max Hastings’ trial approaches, Connor’s brother Jamie suddenly disappears, and Pip finds herself in a race against time to find him.
