'Enola Holmes 3' Uncovers July Release Date
Netflix has confirmed the arrival of the third (and probably final) 'Enola Holmes' film in July 2026.
Millie Bobby Brown’s continued trailblazing in producing meaty roles for young women hasn’t always worked out. Her self-rescuing-princess film, Damsel, flopped; her upcoming romcom, Just Picture It, seems to have disappeared off the schedule for the time being. But neither of those matters in the face of the Enola Holmes franchise’s overwhelming success. Now, Netflix has confirmed the arrival of the third (and probably final) film in July 2026.
Originally slated as a Warner Bros. Pictures big-screen release in 2020, it was scooped up by Netflix during the pandemic; the streaming service then turned the adaptation of Nancy Springer’s middle-grade children’s book series into one of the biggest hits of the year. The second film was also a smashing success, even as the on-screen version departed from the original material in an effort to allow the series to grow alongside its stars.
The third film continues that trajectory with an all-new story that bears little resemblance to Springer’s books, instead following the outline of its star’s real-life experience, complete with an engagement and a high-end wedding. (Brown married Jake Bongiovi, son of Jon Bongiovi, in 2024.)

Here’s the synopsis:
Adventure chases detective Enola Holmes to Malta, where personal and professional dreams collide in a case more tangled and treacherous than any she has faced before.

Enola Holmes 3 will once again star Brown as the titular Enola, Henry Cavill (The Witcher) as Absolute Unit Sherlock, Helena Bonham Carter (The Crown) as the Holmes matriarch, Eudoria; Himesh Patel (The Franchise) as Watson, Louis Partridge (Disclaimer) as her now-fiancé Tewkesbury, Sharon Duncan-Brewster (Dune) as Moriarty, Adeel Akhtar (Sherwood) as Lestrade, and Susan Wokoma (Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew) as Edith.
(Sadly, Sam Claflin will not return as the elder and less absolute unit-sized Mycroft.)

Brown once again executive produces with Jake Bongiovi, father Bobby Brown & Isobel Richards for PCMA, alongside Mary Parent, Ali Mendes, and Alex Garcia for Legendary Entertainment.
Enola Holmes 3 will premiere on Netflix on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. The first two films are available to stream now.
