It’s our monthly rundown of everything coming to the British-focused niche streaming services like BritBox and Acorn TV in November 2026.

(BBC/BritBox)

We’re heading into the third month of the 2026-2027 television season, and the new normal has officially taken hold. As we noted in the PBS list, November used to mark the start of the TV schedule slowing down for winter break, with shows going on hiatus to make way for holiday specials. That’s no longer the case in 2026.

Though PBS still slows down for the holidays because of its long-standing commitment to the old-school broadcast schedule, niche streaming services dedicated to importing British shows and films do not. In fact, BritBox has so many arrivals for November that it could support its own monthly streaming list.

(We are not ready to break out BritBox into its own list yet, but it’s on the table for a revisit in the new year. Feel free to let us know if you have deeply held opinions on the subject.)

MHz Choice and National Theatre at Home also both have multiple premieres arriving as we head into the holidays. So let’s review everything coming to our favorite dedicated niche streaming services in November 2026.

The Madame Blanc Mysteries Season 5

Sally Lindsay returns as Jean White, aka Madame Blanc, for another season’s worth of cases-of-the-week in The Madame Blanc Mysteries. Season 5 focuses on Jean and Dom’s forthcoming nuptials between solving murders, and ends with the seasonal Christmas special.

The Madame Blanc Mysteries Season 5 premieres on Acorn TV on Monday, November 9, 2026, and streams one episode a week through the holidays.

Department Q Trilogy

Acorn is jumping on the Dept. Q train. With the new Netflix version a major hit, the streaming service has scooped up the three original Danish films starring Nikolaj Lie Kaas as Carl Mørck, and grouped them as The Department Q Trilogy.

The Department Q Trilogy will debut with all three films on Monday, November 16, 2026, on Acorn TV.

The Assassin Season 2

Despite re-debuting The Assassin’s first season on Acorn TV in September 2026, less than a year after it failed to find an audience on AMC+, Season 2 is… debuting exclusively on AMC+. Because that worked so well the first time? Sure Jan.

The Assassin Season 2 will premiere on AMC+ on Monday, November 19, streaming one episode a week through the end of December.

A Remarkable Place to Die Season 2

A Remarkable Place to Die, the New Zealand-set mystery whose title plays on the Kiwi mountain range known as “The Remarkables,” returns for a second season of absolutely gorgeous vistas marred by murder in the mountains. Chelsie Preston Crawford stars as Detective Anaís Mallory, now investigating the death of her former BFF.

A Remarkable Place to Die Season 2 premieres Monday, November 30, 2026, and will stream one episode a week on Mondays through the New Year.

BritBox

Reminder: Ludwig Season 2 continues with new episodes on Tuesdays; Time Season 3 will conclude the first week of November. Meanwhile, on BBC Select, Antiques Roadshow Season 49 keeps chugging along.

Blue Lights Season 4

Blue Lights, the BBC’s most popular police procedural since Line of Duty, returns for Season 4, as plot points laid in the first season come to fruition. Despite the show’s tendency to pull its punches, the series seems determined to cement its status as “The BBC’s answer to The Wire.”

Blue Lights Season 4 debuts on BritBox Premiere as an early-access binge starting Monday, November 2; it will then debut for regular subscribers on Thursday, November 12, 2026.

Secret of the Lost Grail with Alice Roberts

On BBC Select, the first docuseries for November is Secret of the Lost Grail with Alice Roberts, where Professor Alice Roberts criss-crosses Britain as she decodes the truth behind its Holy Grail legends, linking Arthurian lore, sacred relics, and the Knights Templar.

All three episodes of Secret of the Lost Grail with Alice Roberts debut on Thursday, November 5, 2026.

I Escaped to the Country Season 9

For fans of Escape to the Country, BritBox has started importing the spinoff series I Escaped to the Country, which celebrates the house-buying success stories of people who went on to purchase a rural property they discovered on their original Escape to the Country journey.

I Escaped to the Country Season 9 debuts with two episodes on Friday, November 6, 2026, with one a week to follow.

Clive Myrie’s African Adventure

BBC Select brings all episodes of Clive Myrie’s African Adventure as a binge, featuring the sounds and soul of a vibrant, varied land. From surfing to souks, Clive Myrie journeys across an Africa rarely seen, immersing himself in its culture and uncovering family roots.

All ten episodes of Clive Myrie’s African Adventure debut on BBC Select on Saturday, November 7, 2026.

Death Valley Season 2

Death Valley, another comedic cozy crime, returns for Season 2. Starring British acting legend Timothy Spall as John Chapel, the series takes the same conceit as Only Murders, an actor once famous for playing a detective on TV winds up solving crimes in retirement, an actor once famous for playing a detective on TV winds up solving crimes in retirement, and gives it a distinctively Welsh spin.

Death Valley Season 2 debuts on BritBox Premiere as an early-access binge starting Monday, November 9; it will then debut for regular subscribers on Tuesday, November 17, 2026.

Royal Gardens Season 1

BBC Select’s mid-month binge arrival is the first season of Royal Gardens, a series in which Professor Suzannah Lipscomb explores the world’s most majestic royal estates and their historic and botanical wonders. Each episode reveals the secrets, beauty, and cultural legacy of these iconic gardens.

All six episodes of Royal Gardens Season 1 debut on BBC Select on Saturday, November 19, 2026.

Pointless Celebrities Season 8 Part 2

Pointless Celebrities, featuring small-time British celebrities Americans have never heard of failing to know things about American popular culture (but lots and lots about obscure British pop culture), is the peak of pointlessness, making it the platonic ideal of a Pointless game show.

All episodes of Pointless Celebrities Season 8 Part 2 debut on BritBox on Wednesday, November 23, 2026.

A Very British Yule Log

The Yule Logs are back for the end of the year, ten in all, arriving weekly through the end of December. If there isn’t one for The Other Bennet Sister, I will personally riot.

A Very British Yule Log starts debuting calming images of things on fire starting Saturday, November 26, 2026.

Curfew

We’d completely given up on ever seeing the series Curfew, which initially aired on Paramount+ U.K. in October 2024. However, MHz Choice is riding to our rescue, offering an English show with English subtitles on its foreign-language streaming service. Everyone, say thank you to MHz Choice!

Curfew will premiere on MHz Choice on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, with two episodes, followed by one a week.

Das Boot Season 3

Hulu may have given up on the Das Boot TV series, which continues the story of Wolfgang Petersen’s 1980s-era hit, after one season. But the German producer and Sky TV continued it for four seasons before the show ended. MHz Choice finally acquired those seasons, debuting Seasons 1 and 2 over the summer and now following with Season 3.

Das Boot Season 3 debuts Tuesday, November 10, 2026, with two episodes, one a week to follow.

Les Liaisons Dangereuses

National Theatre at Home kicks off November with one of the company’s buzziest productions from earlier this year, Les Liaisons Dangereuses. A tale of scheming, betrayal, and bored rich people in 18th-century France, Lesley Manville (Marble Hall Murders) and Aidan Turner (Rivals) star as the Marquise de Merteuil and the Vicomte de Valmont.

Les Liaisons Dangereuses will stream via National Theatre at Home starting Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

Arcadia

Just in time for the holidays, National Theatre at Home will debut the recent production of Tom Stoppard’s acclaimed play Arcadia, directed by Carrie Cracknell, which ran at The Old Vic back in January 2026. The cast includes Gabriel Akuwudike (Ridley Road), Fiona Button (Dope Girls), Angus Cooper (Black Doves), Seamus Dillane (Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story), and Leila Farzad (I Hate Suzie).

Arcadia will stream via National Theatre at Home starting Thursday, November 26, 2026.
