Everything British Worth Streaming in July 2026

It's everything British worth streaming on the major American subscription services in June 2026, from Apple TV to Tubi.

July has arrived, and with it, brutal heat across the U.S. and Europe. I know the crisis of climate change is truly upon us now because almost all of the Brits in my social media timelines are passionately discussing the merits of “aircon,” even though over here in America, we all decided the proper term was “A/C” and have been using it as a constant term for 50 years.

(It’s like we want to be divided by a common language!)

Most summers, I would exhort you all to stay inside, where it’s safe, dry, and cool, and watch everything British coming this month. (Trust me, if you’ve never been to the American South in the summer – dry is the thing you struggle with the most.) Unfortunately, this is 2026, the United States Semiquincentennial, which means that the British offerings are thinner on the ground than usual.

On the one hand, it’s the right time for mainstream services to scale back – the World Cup is being held in America, and the June/July viewership numbers are apparently being completely skewed by it. However, the short list – two of which are straight-to-streaming movies – means if you’re not into soccer or watching footage of block upon block of empty grass in DC, it’s going to be a struggle month.

Let’s run down all the British titles coming to our shores, such as they are, on the major streaming services for July 2026.

Trying Season 5

Trying, the heartfelt little comedy-that-could, is entering its fifth season. Despite never being a massive hit for Apple TV, the series, a classic British comedy – which is less laugh-out-loud and more warm-and-fuzzy, has managed to take a premise of infertility and turn it into an adoption story for the ages. Season 5 will twist the emotional screws further by introducing the kids’ bio-mom, played by Charlotte Riley.

Trying Season 5 will premiere on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, on Apple TV with new episodes airing weekly through the end of August.

Pompeii: Out of Time With Tom Hiddleston

Offerings are so thin on the ground this month that neither Disney+, Hulu, nor FX is bringing any British fare in July. Instead, we have to turn to National Geographic – which most people forget was owned by Fox, and now Disney – and its sonorously voiced history special, Pompeii: Out of Time, starring Tom Hiddleston, who really is doing the most to be selected to narrate BBC Nature shows once David Attenborough crossed the rainbow bridge to be with all his animal besties.

Two out of three episodes of Pompeii: Out of Time With Tom Hiddleston will premiere on the NatGeo cable channel on Wednesday, July 22, with the third and final episode airing one week later. All three will arrive on Disney+ and Hulu on Thursday, July 23, 2026.

Enola Holmes 3

Enola Holmesthird (and probably final) installment is turning the tables on its regular formula, and going all in on making Enola the Greatest Holmes Of All Time (the GHOAT?), when she’s handed a case no one can solve: The Disappearance of Absolute Unit Sherlock Holmes.

Enola Holmes 3 premieres on Netflix on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.

Heartstopper Forever

It’s not the full-on fourth season Heartstopper fans were hoping for, but as a feature film conclusion to one of the most adorable LGBTQ+ teen romances of our time, it will do just fine. Charlie and Nick’s love story will get a proper ending this summer, as Heartstopper Forever faces its future.

Heartstopper Forever will premiere on Netflix on Friday, July 17, 2026.

The Bombing of Pan Am 103

I’m already on record as being highly put out over Netflix’s quiet dumping of The Bombing of Pan Am 103. It’s not being billed as an all-star period drama, based on real events, starring some of the BBC’s most brilliant working actors, but a “Netflix Documentary” from its U.K. arm, as if it’s on par with the sort of British documentary trash Netflix uses as slop to help pad out its monthly new release list, such as Should I Marry A Murderer?, Louis Theroux: Inside the Manosphere, and the Trainwreck series. At least it debuted a decent trailer. I want everyone to watch out of spite.

The Bombing of Pan Am 103 will debut with all episodes on Netflix on Thursday, July 30, 2026.

The Westies

Much like Grantchester’s first vicar, James Norton, Tom Brittney’s first show out of the gate after becoming a household name is to star as a rising gangster. Worse, the series, The Westies, is already assured of floundering in the U.S., trapped on MGM+, a streaming service few even know exists, let alone subscribe to. Tragic really, almost as tragic as Brittney’s hair in the trailer.

The Westies premieres Sunday, July 12, 2026, on MGM+ with two episodes, followed by one a week through the end of August.

Fightland

Starz has built a subscription base of middle-class Black viewers, who are hungry to see themselves and the various diasporas of Black culture represented on television while also appealing to Anglophiles and fans of period drama. Finally, the network puts those two halves together in Fightland, a series about the world of Black British boxing.

Fightland will premiere on Starz on Friday, July 31, 2026, and will air and stream weekly on Fridays through the end of September.

2026 FIFA World Cup Final

The once-every-four-year sporting event concludes after 104 matches. After kicking off in Mexico, the final match will be broadcast live from MetLife Stadium at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey — ole, ole, ole, etc.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup Final airs Sunday, July 19, 2026, on Fox and free on Tubi.
